Top Question of the Week

  • Why the sudden rise of ZK everything?

When we look back at the key milestones in blockchain history; the first that comes to mind is Bitcoin, followed obviously by Ethereum, then arguably PoS, and now the latest candidate is Zero Knowledge Proofs for just about everything.

Truly remarkable bits of math and logic, these implementations in a blockchain context allow for far greater scaling, throughput, privacy and so much more.

DIGITALAX is fully embracing this new ZK wave and will over the Spring season release an increasing number of integrations, experiences and product lines with some of the leading pioneers in the space. Stay tuned.

Most Common Repeat Question

  • What can I do to help the situation in Ukraine?

In addition to Ukraine DAO and the other initiatives being led in the crypto space, Alyona, one of the GDN designers, also released a dedicated 3 part collection featuring traditional Ukrainian digital fashion pieces, where all proceeds are being directed to support the defense and humanitarian efforts against Putin's War.

You can purchase from the collection here.

Every bit of support makes an enormous difference.

Top Controversies in the Industry

I would say that it always sucks when early darlings of a pioneering new field you devote yourself to show their true colours. Except, that happened with Dapper Labs a long time ago.

I don't believe that there are many people who seriously consider Dapper a paragon of true decentralisation, and that has probably been the case since soon after the height of the initial CryptoKitties phase. It's also true that their marketing stance of the importance of bringing better UX to admittedly horribly designed Blockchain interfaces went by the wayside long ago to be replaced with just corporate legacy brand simping.

Silly Fails and Trolling

If you get a chance to read the deck it's impressive really how they are managing to gain so much VC and similar late stage web2 support and capital on 80 pages of a really questionably produced deck.

Not only is it way to long, it's light on the substance and makes some ridiculous claims along the way. The audacity of new, old and wannabe mega corps claiming to build their own metaverse instead of contributing infrastructure to the one and only open metaverse has long passed worn thin, even before Zuck said his piece to doom facebook months ago. Why Yuga is following in his footsteps I don't know.

That's if this is a real deck and not just some trojan horse troll of its own 😆
